The 10/5 Milles Ciutat de Maó has once again shone with its own light, consolidated as one of the most spectacular events in the sports calendar. A smooth edition for the 200 runners who have participated and who have been favored by ideal weather conditions to overcome its demanding route. At the sporting level, the race has had few surprises in the upper part of the classification where two runners who already won two years ago, Maria Pallicer and Alex Vidal, have coincided on the podium of the 10 miles.
In the women’s category, the 10 miles has crowned as unbeatable queen of this race the runner from Ferreries in a time of 1:00:20 minutes. Maria Pallicer not only achieved her seventh consecutive victory, but also reduced her time compared to the previous edition by three minutes. In women, she was accompanied by two friends, Marta Orives with a time of 1:09:54 seconds and Clara Coll Pons with a time of 1:11:53 seconds.
For the men’s podium, the 10 Mile victory also had a local accent with the victory of Alex Vidal Hiscock, who crossed the finish line in 55 minutes. It is the second time that Vidal manages to take home the 10 kilos of Queso Mahon Menorca and he has even improved by one minute the time with which he won in 2021. Second place went to another Menorcan, Cristian Valcarcel Marin, five minutes behind Vidal with a time of 1:00:20 seconds. Third place went to Andrés Salom with 1:01:47 seconds.
